**Introduction.** This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from families who enroll or inquire about First Discoveries Christian Preschool, including data submitted through our website, the Playground app, and SMS texting.

**Information We Collect.** When you apply or enroll, we may collect your child's full name, birthday, nickname, sex, address, allergies, medications, medical conditions, physician name and phone number, start date, and additional notes. For guardians, we collect legal guardian name, contact details, emergency contacts, who the child lives with, and payment information processed through Playground. We also collect church affiliation if you choose to share it, faith and community consent acknowledgments, SMS consent, and media consent with a written opt-out option. Sign-in and sign-out records are maintained through the Playground app as required by California licensing.

**How We Use It.** Information is used to operate the preschool program — enrollment processing, daily care and supervision, health and safety, billing and tuition, communication with families, emergency response, and compliance with state licensing requirements. Photos, videos, and audio recordings created during school activities may be used by First Discoveries Christian Preschool, and it's supporting organizations FirstConnect LLC, and Lovewalk Life to promote the school and its partner programs through our website, social media, printed materials, and other communications. Recordings will never be sold or licensed to outside commercial advertisers. Parents may opt out fully or limit use to First Discoveries only by submitting the official written opt-out form.

**SMS Texting.** By providing a mobile number and checking the SMS consent box, you agree to receive emergency alerts, reminders, and updates from First Discoveries Christian Preschool, and it's supporting organizations FirstConnect, and Lovewalk Life. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help or reply STOP to opt out. You must be eighteen or older to consent. Consent is not required as a condition of enrollment. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

**Sharing and Disclosure.** We do not sell personal information. Data may be shared with authorized staff, licensing authorities, emergency services, and service providers who support our operations — such as Playground for enrollment and billing — under confidentiality obligations. Licensing officials from the California Department of Social Services may inspect records without prior notice.

**Data Retention and Access.** Records are retained as required by California childcare licensing regulations. Families may request access to their child's records in accordance with those regulations, or ask us to correct or delete information by contacting the school at learning@fdcp.org or 408-625-3773.

**Security.** We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

**Changes.** We may update this policy and will post the current version at www dot fdcp dot org. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
